Harvest in a Box
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program
“Harvest in a Box”
Every year, in addition to our established farm market on Westham Island, we are offering you a weekly “Harvest in a Box”, containing our mix of the best in-season fruit and vegetables. This offer is based on a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Starting in Mid-June and ending last week of October, you will receive one box each week, a total of 20 boxes over the season.
Two sizes available
"Family Bushel": A weekly "Family Bushel" share is generally enough for a family of 4 or 5. Each box has an average value of $30.00, bringing the total for the season to $600.
"The Peck": A weekly share of "The Peck" is a good size for 1-3 adults. Each box has an average value of $20.00, bringing the total for the season to $400.
You can always keep fresh food longer by freezing, canning or dehydrating it. Click here for a list of the foods you may find in your Harvest in a Box throughout the season.
See below for more information on our CSA program and how to sign up.
What is in a share?
Throughout the season we grow a variety of produce. Part of the experience of belonging to a CSA is never knowing what your box will look like until you open it. Each week your box will be full of fresh, delicious and nutritious produce. You can expect the best of what is in season at that time. At the beginning of the season, there will be lots of greens. During the middle of the season you can expect a great assortment of veggies. By the end of the season, your box will be loaded with lots of storage produce that you can keep for many weeks to enjoy after the program has finished.

By participating in our CSA program, you are committing to support our 2017 growing season. Farming happens out on our fields and therefore is weather depending. Although we are studying the most reliable farmers’ almanacs to foresee the weather for this growing season, we can’t guarantee the same quantities for each week. An exceptional harvest of one or the other crop is just as unpredictable. In this lies one of the beauties of farming which we hope to share with you this season.
We cannot reimburse for missed weeks as we allocate our resources in advance. How about sharing your box with a family member or friend while you are away?
